Our story
It all started with a book. After reading Finally Home by Henri Nouwen, that one particular painting kept coming back to mind: Rembrandt's The Return of the Prodigal Son. Nouwen's reflection on that painting — on grace, homecoming, and being welcomed no matter how far you've wandered — left a lasting impression.
That impression turned into an idea: what if this painting could be printed on a shirt? Something to wear that carries the story with it, a quiet reminder of grace close to the skin.
From there, the idea kept growing. One painting became many — other works and drawings connected to the Christian faith found their way into the collection, alongside original designs of our own, including our dove logo, a symbol of peace and the Holy Spirit. What began as a single shirt inspired by a single book grew into a small collection of clothing carrying stories worth remembering.
Profit for charity
But we wanted this to be about more than just clothing. That's why we price our products as close to cost as possible. Only a few euros are added per item to cover essentials like materials, printing, and shipping — nothing more. We're not here to build margins; we're here to share something meaningful at a fair price.
At the end of each year, any profit that remains is donated in full to Mercy Ships. To keep ourselves accountable, we publish our annual report right here on this website, so you can see exactly how much was raised and where it went.
About Mercy Ships
Mercy Ships is a faith-based organization that operates hospital ships that deliver free, life-saving surgery and medical care to people in some of the world's poorest nations, who would otherwise have no access to it. Since 1978, their volunteer medical professionals have performed hundreds of thousands of surgeries and trained thousands of local healthcare workers, leaving a lasting impact long after the ship has sailed on.
